Portable Buildings Inc. has a Sales Office and many Sheds located on the North East corner of the Laurel Junction Complex along Route Nine.
Portable Buildings, Inc. is a Delaware manufacturer of small buildings since 1982, using tradesman from the local area. The buildings are sold through a dealer network which covers the Delmarva Peninsula (all of Delaware and the eastern shores of Maryland and Virginia). Buildings can be custom built or stock and are available in wood (cedar, fir, larch, poplar), vinyl, using any profile or agricultural aluminum. Sizes range from 6' x 4' to 12' x 24'. Plant tours are available, even encouraged, so the craft and materials are seen as its being built. Lumber is brought in by the truckload from Maine and Montana forests, then cut to size for various wall heights and roof pitches. Shingles are made in Wilmington, DE. Pressure treated wood from Virginia. It's a genuine made in America product.
The typical use for a shed is the lowly family lawnmower. However, organizations like RCA, GE, DuPont, Wesley College, US Air Force, high schools and little leagues also use them for bats and balls to experimental bird cages. A huge advantage of a Portable Building is its PORTABLE, so if you outgrow it or move, just move it.
